Ghanaian legendary actress, Akofa Edjeani Asiedu, is crying out over the horrible suffering she has been dealt with.
According to the actress, she can’t take care of her home nor pay her staff because of the present economic stress Ghana is going through. The 53-year-old says that she manages a restaurant that has been operating at a loss since the dollar soared up.
“I manage a restaurant, and as of last week, oil was around 660 cedis and now it is 1200ghc and higher. Rice is twice the price. Everything is twice the price, so I am really not breaking even; I am operating at a loss. I can’t pay my staff; I can’t feed my home,” she stated.
In an interview, she further stated that she has been trying to find a solution to lessen the financial suffering she is going through but all her attempts are proving ineffective.
“I truly don’t know what to do, therefore I am trying to see what to do amid this turmoil. There is always a way out. I am sitting motionless, and I am thinking.
