Be Fair To God And Contribute To National Cathedral – Rev. Frimpong Manso To Ghanaians

The clergy is urging Christians to be fair to God and contribute to the building of the National Cathedral. That is the charge from the former General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Rev. Paul Frimpong Manso.

He was speaking at the 30th Biennial General Conference of the Assemblies of God Church.

The Cathedral has come under criticism from a section of the public who have questioned its relevance, and the state’s participation in its construction.

But Rev. Frimpong Manso believes the devil is using the polarisation of the country to destroy the idea of the building of the Cathedral.

He made a case for the building saying “If we think that the best belongs to the Lord, do they want us to build the cathedral in a certain corner?”

“Please the 70% Christians, let us be fair and take the opportunity and contribute. It is doable if everyone will pay Ghc100 a month or less…,” he explained.

The event was held in Cape Coast where Lead Pastor of Cedar Mountain International Church in Accra, Rev Dr Stephen Yenusom Wengam was elected General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Ghana.

Rev Dr Wengam, 50, takes over from Rev Professor Yaw Frimpong-Manso who has been at the helm for 12 years.
