Some market women at the Kejetia Central market in Kumasi declared their unflinching support for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo government’s controversial E-levy.
According to them, they can never be ungrateful to the New Patriotic Party for giving them free electricity and water during the Corona virus prime season.
” If we don’t support E-levy then we’re ungrateful. We can never be ungrateful to the hardworking President and the New Patriotic Party. Why are we like this? We were given free water and light. Whose money do you want to be used to pay for those free things? We shall pay” One of the market women told journalist.
Majority of them could also be heard from the background shouting in support. A staunch member of the ruling New Patriotic Party Kofi Ofosu Nkansah thanked the women in believing in President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and his good policies.
