Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II has expressed his condolences to the family of the late George Somuah Bosompem, a teacher of Salvation Army School at Asiakwa in the Abuakwa South Municipality of the Eastern Region, who was brutally beaten to death by some teenagers in the area.

Osagyefuo Ofori Panin II, in a statement issued and signed by Secretary to Okyeman State, D. M. Ofori-Atta, expressed sadness with the death of the teacher.

He also called on the police to intensify efforts to bring the perpetrators to book.

Okyenhene also condemned the rise in unruly and dastardly acts by the youth, adding that moral decadence has no place in a civilised society.

He appealed to the public to cooperate fully with the police to ensure that justice prevails in the matter.

Meanwhile, hundreds of residents and teachers stormed Asiakwa to observe the one-week celebration of the deceased yesterday.

Mr. Bosompem, 57, is expected to be buried in July.
