Vanessa Gyan To Celebrate 100 Expectant Mothers

Vanessa Gyan, a renowned TV & radio personality, is set to stage the 2019 edition of her annual maternal health programme dubbed ‘The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express’.

The ceremony, which is slated for May 24 at the Achimota Hospital in Accra, is a platform that offers women the best of education on maternal health.

Over the years, the programme has been used to raise awareness on maternal health, enlighten women on pre and post-natal care, raise fund towards maternity wards and remind women on the importance of self-love while igniting the bond between mothers.

As part of this year’s event, Vanessa will be celebrating over 100 expectant mothers with a baby shower.

“I am celebrating over 100 expectant mothers at ‘The Post Pregnancy Boujie Express’ baby shower. While my mamas will indulge in yummy food and drinks, a delicious cake, dance to their favourite songs and go home with tonnes of gifts, they will also be educated by a team of phenomenal women/professionals. As with each event, I am also discharging financially strapped post-partum mothers alongside their new-borns,” she said in an interview with NEWS-ONE.

Professionals like Roselyn Felli (media personality), Victoria Naashika Quaye (CEO of Naaviq Company Limited), Fati Shaibu-Ali (manager of e.Academy), Akosua Poku (RN BSN Masters In Health Edu & Admin) and Cecilia Johnson (midwife, Ask A Midwife GH) will be speaking at the ceremony.

There will be a lot of other side attractions. Expectant mothers will also go home with diapers and wipes from Molfix and tonnes of baby products such as powder, cologne and lotion from Ghandour, as well as products from Faytex.
