I Used My School Fees For Investment But I’m Yet To Make Profit – KNUST Deferred Student Confesses

KNUST

One of the 6000 KNUST students who have been deferred for non-payment of fees says he invested his, but no profit as we speak to enable him to pay the fees.

Without knowing the university’s management would act so swiftly, he would not have invested the fees into the business.

In order to pay the fees, he begged the management for more time to recover his investment.

“I used the money for a few things, but I knew I would profit from it and return it. But I didn’t expect it so fast. This is my fault, I won’t tell my parents,” he told Ibrahim Abubakar of TV3.

The KNUST administration announced on Wednesday that 6000 students had been deferred due to non-payment.

A KNUST Public Relations Officer told TV3’s Ibrahim that “over the years we have had challenges with students completing University and then leaving with our fees because we had not applied the fee policy.” So the academic board applied the fee policy this time.”
