#Fixthecountry Supporters Mass Up At Ashaiman Police Station

After some followers of the arrested leader of the FIXTHECOUNTRY movement began massing at the Ashaiman Police station, officers from the Formed Police Unit and the Striking Force were reportedly dispatched.

The officers’ job is to keep the station safe and orderly.

Meanwhile, Oliver Barker-Vormawo, who was detained on Friday night after arriving from the United Kingdom, is scheduled to appear in court today, Monday, February 14,2022.

He is said to be on a hunger strike.

The convener of the pressure group was arrested, according to a police statement, for threatening to launch a coup in Ghana on social media.

In his declaration of purpose to undermine the Republic’s constitution, his “message featured a clear statement of intent with a conceivable desire to execute a coup.”
