I Used To See Ladies In Make-Up As Maame Water But Makes Me Look Beautiful Now – Diana Asamoah

Ghanaian gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah has revealed that she used to think of women wearing a lot of make-up as “Maame water,” or evil.

Diana Asamoah, as she is commonly known among fans, said that she felt that way because she was still a baby in her Christian walk.

However, as she has grown in Christ, she is now seen wearing heavy make-up and wigs.

A shift that has sparked a lot of criticism from Ghanaians in recent months.

“I used to think of ladies wearing make-up, wearing wigs, and not wearing a scarf on their heads as’maame water’ (mermaids) or evil. I didn’t want to even approach them. “But that has changed now,” she explained, “because I was still a baby in Christ.”

“Some of our spiritual fathers didn’t support us,” Diana Asamoah continued. They influenced us to judge and believe we were better because of what we saw on the surface. I used to think that every tongue praying person was spiritual, but as I’ve grown in the Lord, I’ve realized that it’s all about what’s inside you, not how you look.”
