Personnel engaged in the Nation Builders Corps have taken to social media platform Twitter and are agitating over what they describe as a “scam” by the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to the personnel, prior to the 2020 elections, they were promised permanent jobs and were made to go for interviews and write aptitude tests but nothing has come out of the process.
The personnel say apart from the fact that they have not been given permanent jobs, they have not been paid for the last three months.
They have expressed the hardship they have had to suffer just because the government has failed to fulfil its part of the bargain.
Government engaged the services of young graduates numbering 100,000 and they were deployed to various Government agencies.
The initiative was supposed to have ended this year but after criticisms, the government had to re-engage the personnel.
