W/R : SEKONDI-LANDS COMMISSION STOOL LANDS STRUCTURE SET ABLAZE


The Entire structure of the administrator of Stool Lands western regional office Sekondi has been razed with an unknown source of fire on Sunday 5th May 2019.

The office of the Administrator of Stool Lands building is situated just opposite the Western Regional Lands Commission building.

Information aptnewsghana gathered indicates that the inner perimeter of the administrator of Stool Lands premises is covered by 90% wooden structures.
Aptnewsghana reporter Benjamin Bray can confirm that the Ghana National Fire Service western region managed to use about 5 fire tenders vehicles to quench the fire.
Speaking to the media, the chairman for Western Regional Lands Commission, Dr. Isaac K. Sagoe said the fire began inside the entire structure early Sunday morning which the attention of the Ghana National Fire Service were informed and with an immediate response, the use of fire tenders vehicles from other security agencies were used to minimize the heat and smoke from the fire.
He stated that crises meeting will commence on Monday 6th May 2019 with the involvement of Ghana Fire and Police Services, Staffs from Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, Staffs from Lands Commission and other relevant stakeholders to address the menace from the fire outbreak.
Dr. Isaac Sagoe admitted that the Sunday fire disaster at the administrator of stool lands premises will affect their daily operations. Meanwhile with the help of back up system the lands commission will do its possible best to litigate the situation at stake, Dr. Sagoe added.
He therefore urged the general public whose documents are with the administrator of stool lands and has been razed by fire to be at ease due to the back up system at the Lands Commission database.

 


Addressing the media, Divisional Officer 1, Veronica Naa Adjele Cole, indicated that her outfits were engaged in difficult situation in the process of quenching the fire due to inadequate of door entrances around the premises.
Furthermore she explained that the fire temperature increased by Oxygen, Heat and Materials that were burnt through the fire.
The western regional 2yc of the Ghana National Fire Service advise encroaches to stay behind the premises to avoid any further hindrances.
The Sekondi-Takoradi residents are still in doubts of the burnt structure because of Monday 6th May 2019 where new administration will be inducted into office to perform their administrative duties accordingly.
