You Are Not Going Straight To The Point – Kevin Taylor To Otumfuo

Kevin Ekow Taylor, an outspoken Ghanaian residing in the United Kingdom and the founder of the Loud Silence Media, has sent a bold message to the Ashanti Kingdom’s overlord in response to his recent remarks on the region’s regular power outages.

According to Kevin Taylor, the tone of Otumfuo Osei Tutu’s words was startling because he didn’t completely explain the circumstances.

Kevin Taylor believes that the NPP government is increasingly failing in the energy sector and that it must be punished. He believes Nana Otumfuo failed to handle the issue head-on and even praised Dr. Matthew Opoku for his accomplishments at the Education Ministry.

After Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II complained that the “Dumsor” in his region had destroyed practically all of his equipment, he made his statement. When NAPO paid him a courtesy call to learn about the people’s concerns about power supply in the region, the Asantehene made this statement.

However, it appears that Otumfuo’s statement did not sit well with Kevin Taylor, who expressed his displeasure with the way he addressed them in a friendly manner. Though a King like Otumfuo is not supposed to speak harshly, Kevin Taylor argues that he could have done better by cautioning him to work harder.

According to Kevin Taylor, Asantehene was expected to jump right to the issue and criticize the regime. When the Chiefs meet different political figures, he believes they approach them in different ways. He bluntly stated that whenever NPP leaders visit, Otumfuo has always sought to protect them.

“, he explained “Nana, you didn’t get to the point right away. Inform NAPO that he is failing and doing things incorrectly. At the very least, I expect you to inform him of this. You were attempting to safeguard him and even cheered him at the conclusion.”
