Akufo-Addo Deliberately Goes Blind In Kumasi So He Doesn’t Notice Our Bad Roads – Onasis Kobby

Onasis Kobby, Deputy Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), bemoans the region’s underdevelopment.

Unlike other places that have seen enormous progress, he claims, the Ashanti Region continues to suffer badly as a result of government negligence.

He said this in response to the region’s recent floods, which have been described as extraordinary.

“Kwame, when you come to Kumasi, potholes have taken over our roads,” Onassis Kobby bemoaned the state of the roads in the Ashanti Region. Because of the poor state of the roads, people must always service their vehicles and replace their tyres. Every minute you drive on the road, you hit a pothole, which is dangerous.

It is astonishing that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visits this location on a regular basis yet fails to notice how bad it is. Maybe he covers his eyes whenever he comes here, or he doesn’t think our predicament is important because his automobile is bigger,” he remarked on Accra’s OKAY FM.

He was enraged at the construction of buildings in the Ashanti Region, blaming it for the current floods.

“We are actively siting building projects in Kumasi, and if what is happening in America happened in Kumasi right now, we will all be suffocated by water. It is that bad, and immediate action is required. Kumasi had never flooded before, indicating how poor the region’s state is and that something needs to be done about it,” he said.
