Drama As Court Grants Husband Divorce After His Wife Got Pregnant For Another Man

Customary Court in B/A granted Mr Manu David, a 65-year-old businessman, divorce from his wife, Mary Akumia on the grounds that she became pregnant for another man while still living with him.

Mr Sasu Samuel, the President of the Court, stated that it was proper for both parties to separate because they were tired of living together as husband and wife.

“This court has no choice but to dissolve the marriage because both parties consented to its dissolution.

“Today, the court declares David Manu and Mary Akumia marriage to be dissolved.

“From now on, you are no longer husband and wife.

“Each of you should go your separate ways without being bothered; the court wishes each of you success in your future endeavors,” he stated.

He handed their mother custody of the two children and ordered David to pay Ghc200 per month in child support and be responsible for their education and general wellbeing.

As a severance and accommodation cost, Sasu directed the petitioner to pay GHc4,500 to his wife.

“The petitioner is to pay GHc 2,500 to his wife as a severance money so that she may move on with her life and another GHc2,500 to rent an accommodation so that she can move out of his house,” he decided.

Manu had previously asked the court to dissolve his 21-year-old marriage, saying that his wife became pregnant for another man while still living with him.

“When she told me she was pregnant, I disputed paternity because I had nothing to do with her, but I let her stay to learn the truth.

“She refused to go to the hospital while she was in labor, and the baby was born at home, but the baby died,” the petitioner claimed.

“Our first daughter, who recently graduated from high school, is always bringing men to the house. Whenever I tell my wife to be cautious, she fights me.

“Mary allowed her to spend three months with her boyfriend without my permission, and the girl is now pregnant.” he submitted.

David Manu accused his wife of stealing his money on a regular basis.

Mary Akumia, who agreed to the dissolution of the marriage, responded by accusing her Husband David of having extramarital affairs.

“He hangs around with women of all shapes, sizes, and colors.”

The 56-year-old merchant claimed that she once drank her spouse and assaulted him because he had been denying her sex for seven years.

“My husband is insensitive to our children and to me; he always says that the children would remember me only if they are successful in the future,” she continued.

The children were misbehaving, according to the responder, because their father was antagonistic to them.
