The 2020 elections have thought the National Democratic Congress (NDC) a bitter lesson which has informed the decision of the party to be more critical and alert about the 2024 polls.
On the back of the Supreme Court ruling which quashed NDC and Mahama’s attempt to get the election results annulled, the flagbearer has said the 2024 elections will be a different kettle of fish.
According to him, the NDC will ensure that the election is won at the polling stations…in effect, the party will police the polls with agile vigilance ensuring that every vote is counted to ensure their victory.
Speaking in an interview with Akina FM on his tour of the Western North Region, Mr Mahama said the 2024 polls will be a “do or die” affair at the various polling stations. They will do whatever it takes legally to ensure that victory is theirs.
“Elections are won at the polling stations. The polling stations will be policed, it will be a do or die affair. I didn’t say all die be die, the right thing must be done. We will not wait for the coalition centre or Supreme Court to come to our aid. We want a credible election devoid of cheating,” he said.
