Trainee nurses and teachers cry over non-payment of promised monthly allowance by Government

Ghanaian trainee nurses and teachers are crying over the non-payment of the monthly allowance promised to them by the Akufo-Addo governemnt.

According to these disgruntled students, they have not received the allowance for the past months and are calling on the government to do the needful.

The New Patriotic Party restored trainee allowances in 2017 which was cancelled by the erstwhile government to cushion students.

However, a recent hashtag [#PayAllawaArrears] on social media gives an account of students making demands for their allowance to be paid to them since they have not received an alert in months.

They have threatened to embark on a demo if the monthly allowance as promised by the government are not paid ASAP.
