Give Credit to Akufo-Addo and Energy Minister for Fixing Dumsor – Hon. Yaw Danso

The District Chief Executive of Bosome Freho district in the Ashanti Region Hon. Yaw Danso believes that, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Energy Minister Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh deserves credit for solving the recent erratic power supply popularly called “dumsor”.

Hon. Yaw Danso says the Akufo-Addo government has ensured that Ghanaians now enjoy stable and more affordable power since it assumed office in 2017.

He says despite coming into office at a time when the power supply was unstable, the government has ensured the frequent power outage popularly called ‘dumsor’ has been “relegated.”

Speaking to Bryt FM, Hon. Yaw Danso said “we have relegated ‘dumsor’ to the past. It is clear to our fellow Ghanaians by now that we have enjoyed 4 and half years of reliable and cheaper power.

He said the minister has been able to fix the problem after promising to do exactly that, he said Matthew Opoku Prempeh revealed that the recent power outages in the country were not “dumsor” but “dumsiesie” meaning switching off lines and fixing them.

According to him, the recent intermittent power cut was different from what Ghanaians experienced under the administration of former President John Dramani Mahama, this time, they were doing some maintenance and it was very successful.

He said Ghanaians have forgotten very soon after successful maintenance under the auspices of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo and the indefatigable Energy Minister Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, hence we need to give them the credit.
