Police Conduct Swoop Kumasi To Flash Out Suspected Criminals

The anti robbery squad unit of the Ghana Police Service conducted a swoop over the Weekend in an attempt to flash out suspected criminals in the area.

The The operation which was conducted on Saturday was meant to chase the suspected criminals at their hide out in a popular vicinity called Kan Boller in Aboabo in the Asokore Mampong Municipality.

 

The exercise is in response to recent criminal activities in the area as residents complained about high rate of robbery in the Municipality.

The recent crime situation was the death of a young boy, Abdul Gafar Kassim who was killed by an unidentified gun man on Eid day after prayers at the Aboabo Bus stop.

One other person sustained injuries after the gun incident on 20th July during Eid Prayers.

Some residents in the area said, they are ready to assist the Police to arrest suspected criminals in the aras.

The Asokore Mampong Municipality has recorded some cases of incidents and it has been described as a crime zone as secu agencies vowed to bring the situation under control.
