Bank rewards Ghanaian Police Officer Millions of Cedis after returning GHc2,000 found 

The Ghana Police Service is one of the Public Sector Organizations (PSOs) under the Ministry of the Interior.

The Ghana Police Service was created by the colonial administration to produce an enabling environment for commerce through the maintenance of law and order as well as the arrest and prosecution of people who fall foul of the laws.

After independence the Service received legal backing through the Police Service Act, 1970 (Act 350). Chapter seven of the 1992 Constitution continued to firm up its existence.

A report reaching AfricaWish.com has it that, Stanbic Bank has given a Police Officer cedis of money after returning GHc2,000 found on his way to work.

According to the report. Constable Prince Fordjour of the Ghana Police National SWAT. On 5th July 2021 the police officer found cash of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (2000.00 ghc) discharged by Stanbic Bank’s ATM at Abeka Total in Accra, with nobody in sight.

However, the constable reported the incident to his Police Commander. For his honesty, the bank has given the police officer four thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 4,000).

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh who was pleased with Constable Fordjour’s action also presented him with cash amount of five thousand Ghana cedis (Ghc 5,000)
