Media personality, Bridget Otoo says Ghanaians are being made to pay 2nd lady, Samira Bawumia for looking good.
In what seemed like a sarcastic post on twitter, she said Ghanaians can’t keep quiet about how good Mrs Bawumia always looked and now they have to pay for her to continue to look good.
“Everyday you people won’t keep quiet about @SBawumia’s make up, hair and photo shoots. You see now @NAkufoAddo is making us pay her for looking good. I won’t be surprised if she starts serving us three photos per day. Go get them Ma’am. Keep slaying on our money,” she tweeted.
As a reminder, the spouses of the president and vice president will from now onwards officially enjoy salaries from the government of Ghana.
This was after the government adopted a recommendation by an emolument committee which was approved by the seventh parliament.
The new arrangement will see the spouses of the first and second gentlemen officially being paid salaries which is a departure from the previous practice of paying them allowances.
