MPs do not deserve to come to parliament in Uber, we deserve better – NDC MP defends $28 million car loan for parliamentarians

NDC MP for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor has defended the government’s decision to give a $28 million car loan to parliamentarians to purchase new cars.

According to him, it is undeserving of any honourable Members of Parliament in Ghana to come to the House riding in a commercial vehicle or Uber.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with JoyNews, Mr Dafeamekpor said he sees nothing wrong with the $28 million car loan the Finance Minister has tabled before the House to allow Members to buy new cars since they deserve better.

He made reference to the other arms of government and the preferential treatment they are given.
