There were uncontrollable scenes at the Accra high court after Kennedy Agyapong used unprintable words on the lawyer for Anas Aremeyaw Anas. It can be recalled that after the Number 12 investigative piece that implicated former GFA boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi, MP for Assin Central called Anas a fraudster.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, Anas blackmailed people who failed or refused to pay up the sums he demanded. Kennedy Agyapong also went ahead to drop some pictures which were purported to be that of Anas. Anas who felt insulted and defamed sued the MP.
The case which started in 2018 is still ongoing. Proceedings continued today, Tuesday, June 29, 2021 and tempers flared when Kennedy Agyapong referred to lawyer Sammy Darko as foolish for allegedly insulting him. This incident happened as the lawyer for Anas was cross examining Kennedy Agyapong.
“You are very foolish. I am an MP. You are insulting an MP and supporting criminals” Kennedy Agyapong uttered. Lawyer Sammy Darko had no option but to refer Kennedy Agyapong to the judge who subsequently called on the law maker to apologize and retract his word. Kennedy Agyapong had to apologize and retract his word before proceeding continued.
