Ghana is safe, go to other countries and see what’s happening – Interior Minister to Ghanaians

The Interior Minister, Ambrose Dery, does not agree with public concerns over the growing state of insecurity in Ghana.

According to him, the reported number of robberies and crimes do not necessarily mean the country is in a state of insecurity.

This was the reaction of the Interior Minister to several reports of robbery attacks with the recent being the killing of a police officer escorting a bullion van in Accra and other criminal activities.

While the Minority in Parliament has urged President Akufo-Addo to demonstrate leadership by ensuring that the country becomes safe and sound for all and sundry, the Interior Minister does not believe the country is in a state of insecurity.
