2-year -old girl swept away by floods a week after her mother’s burial

A two-year old girl, Abigail Kakrab, has been killed by floods a week after her late mother was buried at Nkanfoa in the Cape Coast North Constituency of the Central Region.

A heavy downpour on Saturday left many parts of Cape Coast and its environs flooded.

According to a rescue team, the unfortunate incident occurred when some children were crossing a big gutter in the area but luck eluded Abigail, who happened to be the little one amongst them. She fell into the gutter and the ferocious floods swept her away.

“We searched Abigail for almost three hours but we could not find her. So, we poured libation to ask the gods to help us find her. We later saw her lifeless body,” a member of the rescue team told Atinka FM
