MAHAMA TOLD A BIG LIE IN MUMFORD
Our attention has been drawn to publication that is being circulated across sections of media houses and social media that is coming from the non-performing NPP in Gomoa West Constituency.
Ordinarily, the focused National Democratic Congress would not respond to this weak propaganda but we need to set the records straight since we know that the DCE is hiding behind his Executive body to spew these lies in public to exculpate himself of his non performance since he was endorsed as the DCE of the District. What the DCE and the NPP Executives of Gomoa West should understand is that Governance is not about *rhetorics* but a serious business for the prepared and therefore when the people give you their mandate you should serve them with all the seriousness that goes with the office.
In the statement the NPP issued, they repeated their lies that has been a centralized syndrome that “..the only arrangement made is that the former Administration (Mahama) took GH2000 from the people of Mumford..”.
This argument coming from the office of the NPP Chaired by their DCE is weak and ridiculous. It lacks intellectual depth and a mere deception to the people of Gomoa West and Mumford in particular who deserve that the landing beach project is expedited as originally intended. The lies and the falsehood peddled by the DCE should be ignored by all well meaning Ghanaians.
Every well meaning citizen of Mumford who is resident or previewed to the truth knows that *the good people of Mumford came to terms with the Gomoa West District Assembly to pay a commitment fee of Two thousand Ghana Cedis (¢2,000) so that the Assembly also pays the remaining (¢2,000) to do the paper works on the land which the erstwhile Administration fulfilled its part of the agreement, completed the documents and handed copies of the said land documents to the Adontenhen of Mumford and copies left on the files of the Assembly when the NDC government left office.* It is therefore very preposterous for the DCE and his executives to throw dust into the peoples eye that they did not hear anything from the Assembly. The DCE Mr. Bismark Baisie Nkum is challenged to come out to say that there is no such records in the files of the Assembly. The lies and deception of the people must stop. The DCE should rather focus on the underdevelopment, the deplorable state of the roads in the District and the depression and penury our people have to find themselves in under this administration.
We, in the NDC and the people of the Coastal line know for a fact that the proposed *Landing Beach Project* is a brain child of the John Mahama led NDC because we know its Economic benefit to the people of Gomoa West and the adjoining Districts and for that matter all necessary documentation and arrangements were done before this government took over but has delayed due to political pettiness and selfish agenda of this DCE and his boys. They should rather explain to the people the misused and unaccounted Premix proceeds, numerous projects and road construction that were initiated but has been stalled and help elevate the life our people who are the poor victims of the economic hardship that has been brought by untested policies that benefit only a selected few.
