The nation has been experiencing power crisis since the beginning of the year. A development that has gotten a lot of Ghananians talking.
What Ghananians experienced during John Dramani Mahama’s era with respect to electricity supply has made a lot of us learned a lot of lessons.
So when the nation started experiencing power outages at the beginning of the year, many experts concluded that per what happened in some years back, the present situation was not far from dumsor.
The government and power producing agencies have come up with different explanations with respect to the current power outages.
Unfortunately, the power outages points to power rationing popularly known as dumsor. The government didn’t want to accept it is dumsor simply because of their utterances concerning the power situation in the past.
It will be remembered that, this government told Ghananians not long ago that the nation had excess power and that the nation was paying for power it wasn’t using. So to turn around and admit what the country is experiencing is dumsor, it will sound very embarrassing to the so called competent government.
Many Ghananians are calling for a schedule to be able to plan their activities since the outages are being done haphazardly and is interrupting a lot of economic activities.
Lo and behold the much anticipated and awaited time table has been released by the electricity company of Ghana and this has triggered a lot of reactions from Ghananians on social media and other online platforms.
The latest to add his voice to the release of the dumsor timetable is the ever vocal internationally acclaimed investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni.
According to Manasseh, he does not understand why a timetable should be published while they claim there is no dumsor.
He made this post on his Facebook page and this post has since triggered hundreds of reactions.
“We don’t have “dumsor” but we have a timetable for “dumsor”. If your mother is dead and you claim she’s asleep, the stench from your room will definitely expose you in this compound house”
