The cover of three notorious goat thieves in Wa, the Upper West Regional Capital was blown after they were involved in an accident with stolen goats.
The trio who are said to have specialized in the stealing of goats belonging to residents using a tricycle commonly referred to as a Camboo, were involved in an accident while returning from one of their trips
Sensing that onlookers would subject them to a barrage of questions as to why they were transporting the goats in a tricycle that is used in conveying only passengers, two of the suspects who sustained minor injuries managed to escape from the scene.
The third one who according to reports was seriously injured, laid on the floor and was wailing in pain and got arrested together with a pregnant goat.
Owner of the goat who visited the scene of the accident, claimed the latest incident was the second after noticing that several of his animals have gone missing.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Wa police assisting with investigations while a hunt has been launched for his accomplices believed to be area boys.
