Ghana Police Denies Group From Demonstrating Against LGBTQ In Ghana

A group calling itself “Journalists Against LGBTQI+” has been asked to suspend its demonstration due to COVID-19.

The group who had sought clearance from the police through a letter to demonstrate against the LGBTQI+ community which has recently sprung up in Ghana intended to hit major streets in Accra to register their disapproval.

The Ghana Police Service, in response to the group’s letter, said it could not allow the demonstration due to the restrictions imposed by the Executive Instrument (E.I.) 395 in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.
