Minister Designate For Education Reveals When Schools Will Be Closed Down

The second wave of the Corona virus pandemic is relentless and is spreading at very high speed. Schools are reporting cases of Covid-19 and so a lot of people are calling for the closure of schools.

Nana Akuffo Addo is under a lot of pressure to close down schools and even put the country on a partial lock down.

The Minister Designate for education was vetted yesterday and was asked about the closure of schools. On the question of closing down schools again because of the upsurge of Covid-19 cases as prescribed by the GMA, the Minister Designate for Education revealed that there’s no evidence that the schools are breeding grounds for Covid-19 hence he won’t campaign for closure of schools .

What it means is that until record number of cases are being recorded in schools, it might not be closed down. If you have hopes high on the closure of schools, I guess you should relax, it won’t happen soon.
