Odawna traders fight over fire relief package

A few days ago, fire ravaged many dozens of stores at the Odawna market. Scenes from the market site were disheartening as many traders looked on helplessly as the fire tore through the stores.

The President, Nana Akuffo Addo, has visited the disaster site, pledging to provide some financial relief to the affected traders.

Today, the traders have organized themselves to pen down their names so that they could benefit from the relief package. However, things have become quite chaotic at the Odawna market.

Most traders are dissatisfied with the way and manner the names are being written. Some traders are alleging that some people are attempting to add their names to the list even though their stores were not affected. Some too had empty stores but have added their names to benefit from the relief package.

Out of frustration, some traders are asking the president to come and share the money himself.
