Former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has refuted claims by Assin Central lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong that he has a mental medical condition.
Kennedy Agyapong in an interview on Accra-based Net2TV alleged that Martin Amidu referred to by many as Citizen Vigilante has a medical condition which makes him not mentally stable.
He said the Bawku Central MP Mahama Ayariga wanted to make the condition public during his vetting for Special Prosecutor but was stopped by the NDC leader John Dramani Mahama.
Kennedy Agyapong dared him to make the medical records from Germany public.
But speaking to Accra-based Citi FM in an interview, Martin Amidu said Kennedy Agyapong’s allegations should be treated with contempt because as a Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong has lost his credibility.
Martin Amidu indicated that he has never visited Germany in his life and its shocking that a Member of Parliament will peddle such faslehood against him.
“I’ve never been to Germany on any occasion, I don’t know any German hospital or any German clinic and therefore these allegations are false. If he has got documents of me going to Germany for medical check up he should produce it. I’ve not been to Germany let alone go to Germany for a medical check up,” he said in an interview.
