Chiefs lamented they haven’t seen any development under 8 years of NDC Government – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Sunday 6th September, 2020 paid a visit to Northern part of Ghana.  The Vice President visited Tamale as part of his tour in the region and went to inspect the project of which he said His work is still in progress.

According to him, The Chiefs lamented that the constituency had not seen any development under the 8 years of the previous NDC government.

In the post, He Wrote:

On Sunday, my working visit to the Northern part of Ghana took me to Gushegu and Karaga constituencies in the Northern region; Salaga South and North constituencies in the Savannah region where I met with Chiefs and People at durbars to discuss development related issues.

The Chiefs lamented that the constituency had not seen any development under the 8 years of the previous NDC government. It was pleasing to hear testimonies from the people how the many interventions such as; One Village One Dam, Free SHS, Planting, the Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and massive infrastructure amongst others introduced by President Akufo-Addo’s administration amidst the peaceful coexistence due to the settling of Chieftaincy disputes are transforming the lives of the people and also the growth of these communities.

I urged them to continue to live in harmony regardless of their tribal, religious and regional differences and reiterated President Akufo-Addo’s agenda of bringing more developments to them in his second term God willing.
