Leading Network company in Ghana, MTN has begun sending messages to selected individuals in the country as a way of campaigning for the Flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Akufo-Addo.

In less than 100 days to the elections, the messages have been sent with a headline ‘4MOREYEARS’ which is one of the major campaign messages for the sitting president aside ’round 2′ being used by most people.

The message has kept several people in suspense with some questioning if the Mobile Network is in bed with the sitting government to achieve an undisclosed gain from the act.

MTN Ghana has over 15 million network subscribers in Ghana and was first to introduce mobile money transactions via phone, it was previously Areeba in 2007.

The message reads

“The NPP inherited a broken economy with collapsing financial institutions and a financial sector riddled with corruption. After JM and his NDC had messed up our country, the NPP came in and cleaned up, restored trust and paid back the people’s hard earned savings. If you can’t trust a man with your money – why would you trust him with your country? This December; vote Nana Akufo-Addo and NPP”
