Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang used state money at the expense of the poor to sponsor her children’s education outside Ghana, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party has said.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako in an interview on Wontumi FM and TV stated that when Prof. Opoku-Agyemang served as minister of Education during the erstwhile Mahama administration, she used her position and other questionable means to get her children educated.
The former Education minister has been named as running mate to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress. Her children Kweku Opoku-Agyemang, holds a Ph.D. in Economics, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Kwabena Opoku-Agyemang, West Virginia University, and Adwoa Opoku-Agyemang, University of Toronto, Ph.D. in English Literature, Ph.D. in Comparative Literature respectively.
But the NPP Chairman known as Chairman Wontumi claims they acquired their Ph.D’s because their mum used state resources to sponsor their education at the expense of the poor.
