Veteran musician-producer, Zapp Mallet has taken his heart off for Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale.
According to him in a tweet that he made on June 15th, 2020, Zapp said the ‘Kakai’ crooner is the only Ghana musician who speaks truthfully about the state of the Ghana Music Industry in his prime.
Meaning among the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini, Becca, etc., the only one that speaks the truth about the state of Ghana music is Shatta Wale.
“I take my hat off for Shatta Wale, he’s the only GH artist I’ve ever seen or heard speak truthfully about the state of the GH music industry during his prime…. the boy is forward looking!”, he tweeted.
We don’t know what has caused Uncle Zapp to say this but Shatta Wale is well known for speaking against how bad the Ghana music industry is.
He mostly speaks on how artistes are not paid well, how they’re been taken advantage of by some awards scheme among other sensitive issues that are dear to his heart.
It’s however unfortunate that even though he means well, he’s fond of insulting and degrading his fellow musicians while making his points. Hence, people don’t really pay attention to him when he speaks.
