A 32- year-old fetish priest Kwesi Budu has been arrested by the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) at Kasoa for allegedly defiling his 9-year-old nephew at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central region.
The incident happened on June 1, 2020, when the victim and her friends went to the suspect’s room to watch Television.
The victim was defiled while asleep in the room of the suspect. The suspect reportedly sacked her friends from the room before forcibly having sexual intercourse with the victim.
The Mother of the Victim told Bryt FM’s Central Regional correspondent Eric Owusu Amponsah that, she detected blood dripping from the underwear of her daughter which upon interrogation narrated her ordeal in the hands of the suspect.
She rushed to the Police Station to lodge Complaint which leads to the arrest of the suspect.
Meanwhile, Chief of Fetteh Kakraba, Nana Essel Amoanquandor III has appealed to the Ghana Police Service to prosecute and jail the suspect to serve as a deterrent to others.- Bryt FM
