The 66 Artillery Regiment (Volta Barracks) on Saturday, arrested 13 persons suspected to have a connection with the separatists-Homeland Study Group Foundation.
According to reports, the thirteen persons were made up of eleven males and two females. They were picked at a meeting at Kpando-Aziavi in the Volta Region.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Bernard Baba Pantoah who is the Commanding Officer of the 66 Artillery Regiment the operation, which had support from officials of the Bureau of National Investigations was between 0850 hours and 1300 hours.
He further said that the security personnel seized a document from the group which showed details of areas they allegedly planned to attack soon.
The Commanding Officer disclosed that the 13 persons are currently in the Regional Police Headquarters for further investigations.
Somewhere around February this year, the Regiment rounded up 21 persons at a secret training camp allegedly operated by the secessionist group at Kpevedui in the Ketu North Municipality.
The ‘recruits’, made of 20 males and a female were busted in a dawn raid and airlifted to Accra for further investigations.
