Take Bawumia’s attacks on Mahama away and you’ll see he’s ‘useless’ to NPP- MP Suhuyini

Member of Parliament(MP) for Tamale North, Alhasssan Suhuyini has asked members of the National Democratic Congress to pardon Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his claims that John Dramani Mahama should not embarrass himself but look at data before he speaks as Dr. Bawumia’s relevance to NPP is linked to attacks on Mahama.

Speaking at a media interaction after a COVID-19 response team meeting on Monday, the Vice President said John Mahama’s claims of the economy being in disarray due to the COVID-19 outbreak should be disregarded because it is untrue.

He said “My humble advice to former President John Mahama is [that he should] take a look at the data, this is not green book data. Take a look at the data before you speak, otherwise, you will end up embarrassing yourself. When it comes to the data, it has been very clear; in agricultural growth, we have performed better; industry growth, we have performed better; inflation, we have performed better, on interest rate, we did perform better; exchange rate depreciation, we have performed better. That is the data.

But reacting to the claims by the Vice President, Legislator, Alhassan Suhuyini asked that Dr. Bawumia is pardoned because attacking the former President is the only way he can be respected in the NPP.

He noted that Buwumia is not respected in the NPP so he has to feed on his elderly brother [John Mahama] to gain some level of relevance to himself.

He said “Please pardon him. I told you before that his ONLY claim to fame in the NPP is his ability to undermine his Snr brother in the NDC. It’s his Oxygen. Take it away and not even members of the NPP show him any regard”.
