I have been very sad this morning and i just can’t comprehend why a Member of Parliament would want to thwart our collective efforts in feeding the vulnerable and poor people in the lockdown areas.
I have seen a video of Hon. Dr. Zanetor Rawlings (MP for Klottey-Korley), where she falsely accused government of sharing foods in communities in the affected areas based on partisan lines.
It is a palpable falsehood that government has been asking people to produce their party ID cards before they are given food as she would want us to believe. The fact, as contained in the numerous pictures and videos going viral on social media, shows that packed and bagged foods are distributed to the vulnerable devoid of partisan considerations.
There have been several instances, where leaders of both NPP and NDC have joined in the sharing of the food – from the NPP, we have had Sammi Awuku (National Organizer) and my good self whereas the NDC was represented by George Opare Addo (National Youth Organizer) and other officers and activists. So how could foods have been shared based on partisan politics when both parties have been involved?
This unfortunate disposition of Dr.Zanetor is very irresponsible and reckless, and has the tendency to compromise the unity we have seen in the combat of the COVID 19 by getting Ghanaians to stay at home.
He wrote this on his Facebook page which was sighted by GHANAWISH RADIO
Sigh!!! God save us!!!
