Liverpool star and Senegalese International, Sadio Mane has been at the top of his game for so many seasons, we’ve even lost count.
But the clinical striker who seem to be eternally humble has, in a documentary about his journey to stardom has said he is not as perfect as people would like to make it seem.
The short film titled “Made in Senegal” which documents the journey of the 27 year old Merseyside forward tells his story from his infancy, the tragedy of losing his dad and the abject poverty he had to rise above.
Yet, in response to praise that he is simply exceptional, Sadio Mane responded:
“I honestly don’t know what makes me exceptional. I’m only human, I’m not perfect”.
This came as no surprise as one of the hallmarks of this great talent is his humility and soft-spoken approach to life.
His benevolence, especially in his community and village of Bambali has been well documented this short film reveals more about Sadio Mane.
