This brings the number three, persons who are yet to submit to quarantine protocols.

Thses individuals, are yet to be found three days after they were confirmed to be positive by contact tracers.

One of the runaway Covid-19 patient is a head porter popularly known as kayakie.

Contact tracers are finding it very difficult convincing some Ghanaians on the need to be tested to confirm their status after having a contact with already infected person.

“It was really difficult getting them so they called in security to help but since then, these persons have been away from the community. Each time they call, they either ignore or pick up and say they are far away from the area,” head of JoyNews’ Health Desk, Fred Smith said.

With no travel history it is not known how they got infected, pointing to a clear case of community transmission.

Ghana’s Coronavirus cases has risen to 313. The regional distribution of the cases, according to GHS are: “Greater Accra Region has most cases (274) followed by the Ashanti Region (25), Northern Region (10), Upper West Region (1), Eastern Region (1), Upper East Region (1) and Central Region (1).”

But, tthe contact tracers are teaming up with the police to persuade suspected individuals to be tested.

However, it is not going to be an easy task as some people perceive their blood samples would be use for rituals and for that reason, they are not giving in to be tested.

“They say they are not going to allow the testing of those who may have come into contact with this person because, there are rumours in the area that the contact tracers are taking the blood samples to the government for some rituals,” Fred Smith said
