A Journalist with Accra-based Citi FM, Nana Ama Agyemang has said although Akufo-Addo’s speech on Friday [March 27, 2020] was convincing and worthy of praise, it should be noted that the President gave a similar speech on Corruption and Galamsey fight but has failed woefully at it.
President Akufo-Addo on Friday night imposed a partial lockdown on some selected places in Ghana including Accra, Greater Kumasi, and Tema.
The President’s speech was reassuring and gave the country hope that his government is on top of the issues and is working hard to contain the deadly virus.
But reacting to the President’s speech, Nana Ama Agyemang in a tweet observed that the speech is nothing new to her because the President is known for his oratory skills and good command over the English Language.
She said “Look, @NAkufoAddo will never give a bad speech. He is a brilliant speaker with fantastic writers, so his speeches will always be moving and profound. The thing is, we have heard similar speeches from him on galamsey and corruption”.
