In all could recall, just two (2) days ago a video circulated on various social media platforms concerning activities of Traditional Police, ‘Abrafo)’ as they are locally called in Sunyani beating residents residing within the Bono Regional capital who some sources claimed refused to obey the rules, tradition and as custom demands to mark the final funeral rite of the Late NANA YAA NYAMAA PUDUO II, Omanhenmaa of Sunyani Traditional Council such as not putting on red or black shirts to signify the state of mourning in the city.
Well, The Sunyani Traditional Council has come out to deny the allegation in a latest press release dated the 27th February 2020, and sighted by Ghanawish.com
In the press release, the Sunyani Traditional Council stated categorically that, the ‘Abrafo)’ are well trained and work within the confines of their work. There are however, impostors impersonating and portraying themselves as Traditional Police, “Abrafo)’ using the funeral rite of the Late Omanhenmaa of the Sunyani Traditional Council to perpetrate acts which have certainly not been approved of.
