According to Ghanaian Sensational Highlife Musician, Akwaboah Jnr. in a recent interview on Hitz FM, his pastor encouraged him to compose love songs by prophesying to him.
Akwaboah stated that he was shocked when his pastor prophesied to him about his confusion on releasing a gospel or love song first while he was working on two albums containing gospel and love songs.
The ‘Hye Me Bo’ hit maker added that he was always singing at the church and that made him be in a dilemma because he was afraid of the criticisms that would follow after the love song was released.
Akwaboah emphasized that his pastor has never discouraged or condemned his actions for venturing into secular music.
Akwaboah disclosed this while explaining why he released a new gospel song titled ‘Praise Medley’ which featured TY Crew.
In his final statement, Akwaboah bemoaned that despite his genre of music, his pastor always told him that he will release a gospel song one day.
