Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has mocked the sycophancy and praise singing which have heralded Nana Akufo Addo’s ambulances commissioning and the subsequent distribution to the 274 constituencies in the country.
One of them is Gabby Otchere Darko, the President’s cousin who tried to juxtaposed Akufo Addo’s achievement to that of former president John Dramani Mahama.
Leading the praise singing is Gabby Otchere-Darko, a cousin of the president and one of the most influential figures in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Taking to social media, Gabby said the President has performed creditably well in all areas including health care delivery and hence he was struggling to figure out what the campaign message of former President John Mahama would be as he contests the presidency this year.
“I wonder what John Mahama’s campaign message will be in 2020. On the economy: Akufo-Addo has done better. On health: Akufo-Addo has done better. On education: Akufo-Addo has done better. On infrastructure, Akufo-Addo is doing much better. 5 major interchanges being built all at the same time; never in our history.
With this Govt, Ghanaians can see where their money is going. Follow the facts. Not the propaganda,” he proudly wrote.
However, Manasseh thinks the President is being over rated since Mahama did much more by building hospitals which supersede ambulances.
“Sir, how could Akufo-Addo have done better on health than Mahama? Hospitals Vs Ambulances?” He quizzed.
