Moments after the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo commissioned 307 new ambulances to be distributed in all 275 constituencies in Ghana in fulfilment of the government’s 2016 election campaign to help improve emergency healthcare delivery, his party fanatics started singing his praises.
One of them is Gabby Otchere Darko, the President’s cousin who tried to juxtaposed Akufo Addo’s achievement to that of former president John Dramani Mahama.
Making a post on social media, Gabby said the President has performed creditably well in all areas including health care delivery and hence he was struggling to figure out what the campaign message of former President John Mahama would be as he contests the presidency this year.
“I wonder what John Mahama’s campaign message will be in 2020. On the economy: Akufo-Addo has done better. On health: Akufo-Addo has done better. On education: Akufo-Addo has done better. On infrastructure, Akufo-Addo is doing much better. 5 major interchanges being built all at the same time; never in our history.
With this Govt, Ghanaians can see where their money is going. Follow the facts. Not the propaganda,” he proudly wrote.
However, investigative journalist Manasseh Awuni Azure perforated holes in his comment by asking how ambulances supersede hospitals since ex President built several hospitals during his tenure.
“Sir, how could Akufo-Addo have done better on health than Mahama? Hospitals Vs Ambulances?” He quizzed.
