Reggae musician and radio presenter, Blakk Rasta has taunted familiar foe, Shatta Wale in a new interview with 4Syte TV, revealing why he won’t get the chance to ever perform at the Grammys.
It’s no secret that the Ghanaian Dancehall act is obsessed with the Grammys and we all know how he reacted when Beyonce’s Lion King: The Gift album was nominated for this year’s prestigious award ceremony following his contribution on her ‘Already’ song.
Blakk Rasta however argued that until Shatta Wale changes his stagecraft and the way he mimes all the time during stage performance, he would never get any shot at the Grammys.
He said:“Live band is an International thing. Big Artiste like Shatta Wale and still miming is a no-no. I was the one who taught Shatta Wale how to perform with live band. He’s growing, this miming won’t help him in the long run”.
He added: “Shatta Wale wants to get to the Grammy stage, but you can’t mime at Grammy Award, i don’t hate Shatta Wale at all, i’m just telling him the truth to start performing with live band, that’s all. No superstar mimes, they perform with live band”
