Asante Kotoko scored two late goals to oust Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 on Sunday behind closed doors at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors missed a first half penalty taken by striker Songne Yacouba in the first half.
Head coach Maxwell Konadu introduced 16-year-old Matthew Cudjoe in the 78th minute when replaced Martin Antwi.
After 83 minutes, Cudjoe found himself the Dwarfs box, controlled a headed pass from Justice Blay and drilled home from close range for the opener.
Three minutes later, striker Richard Arthur, another substitute, turned him a rebound after goalkeeper Issa Razak had spilled Naby Keita’s shot.
