A Plus denounces NPP membership, alleges NPP is engulfed with thieves

Ghanaian Political Activist, Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A-Plus has denounced his membership of the ruling government, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) he supported to gain power says the NPP is engulfed with thieves he alleges.

According to him, the NPP is not a kind of party anyone should die for because it is immersed with greedy and selfish people.

“Check their constitution and it confirms it, among the founding fathers if your father’s name is not in there don’t follow them, they will use and dump you”, he stated.

He said that some musicians keep calling to complain they are not getting what the NPP government promised them of before election.

A Plus revealed that two days to the elections, about 34 musicians who visited Nana Addo at his residence were given Ghc 5,000 each that day and even before the day, some had already been given different amount so they can offered their support to the party.

He alleged that in 2008, young musicians started joining the NPP campaign because he made it happen and succeeded in bringing many of them into the NPP but today, many of them have been neglected due to greed.

“I brought almost every musician to join his campaign and that day, President Nana Addo gave all the musicians who supported him Ghc 5,000 each”, he claims.

He said today, the NPP has selected different musicians to record songs for the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), while searching for ambassadors to the institution, meanwhile, those musicians who sang and campaigned to helped bring to power have been neglected.

“I am no longer a member of the NPP. I am planning to write a letter, add my party card to it then submit it to the party office and hand it over to John Boadu. I am no longer interested in the party again, they are all thieves”, he emphasized.
