Popular Ghanaian actor, satirist, cum talk show host, Kwaku Sintim-Misa who is popularly known as KSM has diagnosed the only problem with the Ghana Movie Industry.
According to him, the only problem with the Ghana Movie Industry is that it is not yet an Industry.
He stated that even though there are some amazing movie directors, cast, cameramen and movie crew they separately don’t make the movie industry.
He made these comments during a recent submission where he said Ghana has the ingredients to make the industry a compelling and competitive one but it is still not there yet hence it can’t be classified as an Industry.
Additionally, he stated that we are rather enjoying the little ingredients as the recipe noting that the practitioners are those responsible for the consumption of the recipe.
He also attributed the main reason who the movie industry isn’t a vibrant one to the fact that there isn’t any huge market for a system like that to thrive in, unlike Nigeria and also added that the government put people who don’t understand the film industry are in charge of the film industry.
