FDA sanctions manufacturers of ‘Kpo Keke’ after Stonebwoy abused the alcoholic beverage during a stage performance

The Food and Drugs Authority(FDA) has sanctioned Liberty Industries Ventures, manufacturers of popular alcoholic beverage Kpo Keke after Stonebwoy shared the beverage during a stage performance.

In 2015, the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) banned celebrities from advertising alcoholic beverages.

The Food and Drugs Authority said at the time that the ban was not only in adherence to a World Health Organisation policy but was part of efforts to protect children and prevent them from being lured into alcoholism.

It will be recalled that Stonebwoy headlined a Kpo Keke concert held during the Easter festivities at Avakpe Dome, a suburb of Adidome in the Volta Region.

Stonebwoy paused during a performance to share a bottle of Kpo Keke by pouring it directly into the mouth of his fans. This act attracted a lot of backlash on social media especially because of his status in society.
